CHARTS 2006 -2009


A Chart is a visual representation of data as function of some quantity. They Are given in the form of a two dimensional graph, the vertical axis being the data and the horizontal axis the quantity on which they depend. Thus the Charts offer at a glance the understanding of this relation ship, using a minimum of text. Maps that are supplied with extra information and are know as nautical charts or aeronautical charts.
The works exhibited are three dimensional interpretations of charts from the New York stock exchange of companies dealing with alternative energy, as well as of weather maps and of histograms of compensations of companies executives during the period of the financial crisis of 2006. The materials used are -recycled water bottles, used electrical wires, drinking straws, broken glass from the December 2009 demonstrations in Athens, Greece.
